Cisneros
Media Distribution (CMD), a global distributor of entertainment content,
today unveiled a new corporate structure and company mission in anticipation of
the upcoming international market, NATPE
2015, according to Marcello Coltro,
EVP of Content Distribution for Cisneros Media, who announced the promotions of Helen Jurado and
Miguel Somoza,
both to the position of Vice President of Sales.
Helen
will be responsible for the Central and South American regions with emphasis on
developing the Brazilian and Argentinian markets; while Miguel will oversee the
countries of North America with a focus on expanding the company’s presence in
Mexico and continuing to boost sales opportunities in the United States and Canada.
“To
empower our sales executives and increase our presence in core markets, while
expanding our client’s portfolio, we defined a solid strategic plan that
includes the implementation of new sales strategies, revaluation and
enhancement of our vast portfolio of products – from third-party producers to
our original programming – securing an exclusive mix of formats, scripts and
productions that target a wide range of viewers,” Coltro emphasized.
As
part of the sales structure of the content licensing area, Cristobal Ponte
of Sahara Management Holdings, long-time exclusive independent sales
representative, will continue to represent CMD catalogue in Europa, Africa and
the Middle East.
Completing
the global sales force is none other than former CMD Vice President Cesar Diaz, who recently
ventured on his own, launching an independent licensing company, 7A Media.
Cesar will serve as an independent representative for Asia, in addition
to evaluating and developing special projects.
“With
all of our incredible talent, both on and off the screen, and the support of
our partners and clients, I am confident the company is embarking on a new and
exciting phase,” said Jonathan Blum,
President of Cisneros Media. “More than
ever, we are committed to create, produce and distribute compelling content
that not only shapes our industry, but most importantly, entertains and engages
worldwide audience.”
