Cisneros has partnered with United
Way of Miami-Dade since 2009 to serve the local community. Most recently, more than 60 employees from
the organization’s Miami headquarters and production studios came together to lend
a helping hand to ACE Academy, a
nonprofit organization with a mission to improve the quality of life of special
children with intellectual and developmental challenges.
Thanks to the coordination efforts by
United Way, Cisneros volunteers primed and painted the exterior walls of the
educational facility, while others conditioned and enhanced the school’s surrounding
grounds and gardens. And leading the painting
and landscaping crews at the Corporate
Social Responsibility (CSR) event was the company’s CEO Adriana Cisneros, who
was joined by members of her media, real estate and interactive teams; as well
as CSR Vice President & Executive Director Maria Ignacia Arcaya.
“We are fortunate to count on United Way [of Miami-Dade] to
enable us to identify and focus our social contributions and initiatives on
local institutions and facilities that are making a difference in the community
we now call home,” emphasized Adriana Cisneros.
“I can confidently say that our social responsibility mission is aligned
with United Way; we share a common vision.”
Advocating a
management style that links business goals with CSR, Cisneros incorporates a
global strategy within the operations of its three corporate divisions - Cisneros
Media, Cisneros Interactive and Cisneros Real Estate - which consequently
create programs tailored to each of its companies around the world, directly
impacting the local communities where they do business.
In Miami, which hosts the company’s corporate headquarters as
well as its state-of-the-art production studios, United Way has facilitated
Cisneros’ social responsibility efforts.
During the past five years, the Cisneros family of employees has volunteered
their time and labor to improve local facilities in the community, including Camp
Mahachee for Girls Scouts, Matheson Hammock Park, Centro Mater Child Care
Centers and ASPIRA
Charter School. Other corporate
collaborations with United Way include annual holiday food and toy drives,
participation in fundraising events and the contribution of company resources.
“We are
grateful to the Cisneros organization, its leadership and employees for taking
action, and giving of their resources, time and talents to better the lives of
children and families in Miami-Dade,” stated Harve A. Mogul, President and CEO,
United Way of Miami-Dade. “We applaud
their compassion and passion and encourage them to keep up the good work.”
Considered a catalyst in building community by bringing
hearts, minds and resources together, United
Way of Miami-Dade is focused on improving the education, financial stability
and health of all in Miami-Dade. For 90 years, the organization has been an
innovative force in the community,
successfully responding to emerging needs and transforming people’s lives.
